Mr. Eleftherios Venizelos holds a MEng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with major in Energy. He also holds the MSc. in Energy: Strategy, Law and Economics from the University of Piraeus (UNIPI), where he elaborated on energy market dynamics and worked along with the Energy and Environmental Policy Laboratory at the Department of International and European Studies at the same faculty. His interests include real energy markets analysis & modelling, energy policy & regulation. He is a member of the Chairman’s Office of the Hellenic Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) since October 2020, where he copes mainly with wholesale markets analysis, energy policy and strengthening of the regulatory framework. He also serves as an expert of EU energy policy in various topics, as the market monitoring procedures and the electricity market design, and he participates in EU projects as well as in ACER’s task forces and committees. In the past he has worked in the private energy sector and he is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG).
