Evdokia Anamaterou completed her B.A. in Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1991 and worked as a High School teacher for many years. She joined Athens International Airport S.A. in 1998. In her current position as Specialist, Air Quality, Climate Change and Community Engagement, she is responsible for developing AIA’s carbon management strategy, calculating its carbon footprint and coordinating AIA’s Climate Change Corporate Action Plan and AIA’s participation in Airport Carbon Accreditation, promoting environmental awareness regarding climate change to the entire airport community while also managing issues related to the monitoring and reporting of local air quality. She is also an internal energy auditor in the framework of AIA’s certification as per ISO 50001. Finally, she is responsible for AIA’s annual corporate Community Engagement Plan.
